




Below are a selection of fun and challenging activities and visits for groups to take a break from their sports or educational programme
Warner Bros. Park is just south of Madrid, and brings all the magic and spectacle of Hollywood to Spain.
The park is located in the town of San Martín de la Vega, and is divided into five themed areas. Access is along Hollywood Boulevard, the Mecca of film, with stars and shops. Besides revealing the secrets behind the best special effects in film, the Movie World Studios area also offers incredible live shows, such as Lethal Weapon or Police Academy, with shoot-outs, chases and explosions. Action is guaranteed in the Superheroes World area, thanks to its impressive "The Vengeance of the Enigma" tower, and the huge loop-the-loops of “Superman/The Attraction of Steel". Young children can see their favourite cartoon characters at Cartoon Village: Donald Duck, Tweety, Bugs Bunny..., meanwhile, the Old West Territory area takes you to the Wild West, with huge, wooden roller coasters and wild, dangerous waterfalls.
Situated around 40 km from the centre is the The Madrid Aquapark, a water park where you can enjoy a day soaking with your family and friends.
This park provides swimming pools and water slides (one of which is a huge tower with five giant slaloms) and also offers an 12-hole miniature golf, a sand track to make a game of beach volleyball and a jacuzzi with a capacity of 50 people.
Furthermore, there are smaller water slides and a minizoo for younger children.
The Parque de Atracciones, set in Madrid's vast Casa de Campo park, is the city's main theme park and one of the biggest of any city in Europe.
Mythical roller coasters like 7 Picos (7 peaks) are joined by such impressive attractions as El Tornado, La Lanzadera or La Turbina. Roller coasters that reach speeds of 80 km/h, giant pendulums that can move 180 degrees, or free falls from 63 metres high turn your visit into an unforgettable experience. Strong emotions are the order of the day on aquatic attractions such as Los Fiordos or Los Rápidos, which offer a good moment to cool down.
In the Tranquil Zone more relaxing activities are offered such as boats trips in the jungle, a 15 metre high ferris wheel, or great radio control games. Younger children have their own area with small roller coasters and water slides, bumper cars or pirate ships, all mini sized. Puppet theatres, train rides or adventure playgrounds complete the offering.

The Prado Museum is renowned as being the largest art gallery in the world. It also exhibits sculptures, drawings, coins and other works of arts, but it is undoubtedly its large collection of paintings which has given it its worldwide fame. It houses some 8000 of which only a portion are shown.
Its history began during the reign of Carlos III, when he tried to create a single art collection under one roof. But it was not until the reign of Fernando VII when the Royal Museum of Painting and Sculpture was created,and upon his death was subsequently renamed the Prado National Museum.

The Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía is the official name of Spain´s national museum of 20th century art. The museum was officially inaugurated in 1992 by Queen Sofia of Spain after whom it was named.The tour includes viewing the collections of Spain's two greatest 20th century masters, Pablo Picasso including his great masterpiece of “ Guernika” and Salvador Dalí. Other highlights of the tour include viewing the works of other Spanish painters of that century including; Juan Gris, Joan Miró, Julio González, Lucio Muñoz and José Luis Gutiérrez Solana amongst others. The central building was originally a hospital and in 2005 an enormous glass extention was opened.
Without doubt one of the top stadiums in the world and named after Real Madrid´s most influencial President.Sr Bernabeu was General Franco´s footballing guru who turned a less than inspiring team into one of the great giants of European football.
Today the 75,000 seater stadium is a must for any visitor to the city. There are guided and self guided tours all of which view the changing rooms, museum and Trophy Room.
The bullring of Las Ventas opened in 1928 and subsequently has firmly established itself as the leading bullring in the taurin world. The tour allows you to step into the ring without fear of a charging bull!
Palacio Real de Madrid, also called Palacio de Oriente or "Eastern Palace" is the official residence of the King of Spain and although King Juan Carlos does not live there (rather choosing the more modest Palacio de la Zarzuela it is still used for state occasions most recently the wedding banquet of the heir apparent to the throne, Philip, Prince of Asturias.
The tour will take in all of this vast palace ( it is in fact bigger than Buckingham Palace ) with viewings of such works by artists such as Velázquez Tiepolo, Gasparini, Juan de Flandes, Caravaggio, and Goya. There are several royal collections of great historical importance are kept at the palace, including the Royal Armoury and its weapons dating back to the 13th century, and the world's only complete Stradivarius string quintet, as well as collections of tapestry, porcelain, furniture, and other objets d'art of great historical importance.
Outside the Palace, the tour will include the Gardens of the Campo del Moro (given this name because in 1109 the Moorish leader Ali Ben Yusuf, encamped with his men in an attempt to recapture Madrid and its Alcázar from the Christians. Afterwards we will tour the Plaza de Oriente, where we will see the statues of all the ancient kings of pre-reconquista Spain as well as the Royal Opera House, and stunning cathedral of Almudena.
